An ounce of peroxide---0²--- per cell per year has been shown to produce longer battery life in some cases.

Had a battery shop for years and found nothing that would restore a battery except a long slow charge, sometimes itworks.

I have heard of something like that can not remember the details. If I recall correctly it may make a sulfated battery take a charge though it is only a temporary fix.

Might as well "bite the bullet" and go buy a new battery! If that idea really worked, we'd all be in clover--never have to but a new battery! Why, we'd be happily driving along, with a 60 year old battery nestled snugly in its corroded box under the hood! Yep--all we'd have to do is occasionally buy a large bottle of aspirin, and when the battery starts going down, just plop a couple pills in each hole and--VOILA!! Good as new!! WOO-HOO!!

I think what needs to be done is regular maintenance,That is what makes a battery last long, making sure it dosen't run low on distilled water, keeping it clean! what is the sense putting distilled water in and making dirt drop into the battery also, the terminals should get a cleaning with baking soda/water mix whenever corrosion occurs, use the battery cover, some people throw these away(not a good idea).Just basic common sense will make it last as long as it can .
