I'm restoring a ground drive McCormick grain binder. I think its just a McCormick, not McCormick/International. It has a wornout cast iron drive chain that I want to replace with flat steel detachable link chain. I borrowed a flat chain off my friends MCCormick International binder that does not fit. Does anyone know a good place to source this chain if I can get the measurments off the sprockets? I've tried valu-bilt, McNairs, and some local ag suppliers,

Thanks

Your local John Deere dealer can help you, IF the parts guy will take the trouble get out the correct loose-leaf binder reference book, and look it up for you. (They have ALL sorts of pats, hardware, etc, cataloged by type and dimension.)

Baum Iron, out of Omaha, has steel chain, and IIRC, even the old malleable chain.
