How can you tell the difference between an indirect injection pump and a direct inj. pump.
I have a direct injection 3 cyl perk. angled injectors. I ordered a brand new pump. And it has what looks like some sort of regulator mounted to the bottom. My pump does not have this. Also the old pump has a valve(pressurizing stud instead of a banjo bolt holding the fittings to the lines. Which is better, or is needed? The salesman told me this pump is a newer version, however looking at my parts book it appears to be an older version. thanks

What was the problem with your old pump and what is the CAN model number? (for both pumps) Pumps don't care if they are direct or indirect injection. That refers to the design of the combustion chamber. There is more to it than that. J. (Send me an e-mail address.)
