I have a 9N Ford tractor that the hydraulic 3-point hitch will not lower. The fork that goes down to the valve will not move when you put the handle down. I have checked the key and shaft that runs off the handle, it is okay. All the valve parts seem to be there and are operating, but the fork will not move it. I have cleaned the valves and pump, and put in new hydraulic fluid. When it pressurizes the top cylinder, the fork that is supposed to lower it to the valve will not move. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks, Lem

Sounds like the valve is stuck. You may have to manually actuate it a few times.

Dog bone valve is rusty and stuck.Happens to tractors that sit idle over winter.If the system is drained you can see if the dog bone is moving by looking thru the drain hole.The operating arms have springs on them and wont move a stuck valve.

He'd probably have more luck looking thru the inspec cover.. then he can manually try to actuate it and get a feel for how well it moves.. etc.. vs just looking at it..
