Ok, i cant seem to get the pistons unstuck yet. Ive tried almost every method. However I dont have a starting crank yet to try and losen em or see if they are. Thats probably where I should start? Also, the rear tires seem stuck in place. ive put it in neutral and every other gear. nothing seems to work. I dont know what to do? any help?

What has worked best for me is to buy a good penetrating oil such as Kroil. That stuff will break any engine loose. To get your tractor loose you will have to take the head off and clean out the cylinders of extra rust. Take you torch and heat up each piston and add some of the Kroil. After you heat each piston and apply Kroil rock the tractor back and forth. I have loosened up alot of tractors this way.

Hey, I've put some atf as some of the guys on this forum have said worked. It's sat for about a day now. I used a wood block to try and wedge em out but nothing. I seem to be doing too much at once. I think i should dissasemble everything and take it to the shop possibly. However, I did get the break undone. Was rusted on pretty good. About an inch worth of dirt and rust combined...yikes! But she will roll now.My main concern is still the pistons. Theyre stuck like crazy

how long have you been soaking the cylinders? it may take a week or 2 to break em loose. the super m i am working on, i filled the cylinders with kerosene, let it sit a month, then came back with pb blaster, hit it with that once a week for another month. finally broke loose rocking the tractor in gear. sleeves were junk after i pulled the head, but i got it loose. patience is the key, it took quite a while for them ole girls to freeze up, they dont wanna give 'er up overnite!!!

You might try using a pipe wrench in place of the crank. But caution, it will scar up the rod. I have used copper sheeting, leather or other soft materials to prevent the damage a pipe wrench can do. If that doesn't work, its probably take off the head. I unstuck an F-14 about 30 years ago. I ended up taking the pistons out, new rings and used a borrowed hone to dress up the cylinders. I probably just used diesel fuel and a block of wood, if I remember right.

Good luck, Gene

i'm not real familiar with the f-14, but on the h and m if they sit a long time the brake band rusts to the drum and the wheels wont turn. look at that first. if i remember the f series has a cable that assists in steering by applying some brakes when you turn. as far as freeing up the cylinders, i have had good luck with pb blaster. other guys use automatic trans fluid with good luck too. do you have the cylinder head off? you may need to tap the top of the pistons with a block of wood and a big hammer to loosen them up too.
