Looking for opinions
Have a Farmall H that was originally kerosene. No longer has shutter, no longer has gas start up tank, still has kerosene manifold. Would like to restore it. Don't know if I will ever show, but you never know. Do I replace manifold with gas manifold and just make it all gasoline? Or do I try to find the shutter, start up tank, possibly fix or replace kerosene manifold and keep it original. How hard is that going to be.

People worry too much about the correct police. If it were mine and it needed a manifold I would put a gas one on it, and not mess with the shutters and starting tank -- but it is entirely up to you. My dad ran Farmalls from about 1940 -- up. I was too young to know how a couple of the older ones were equipped, but far as I know he only used gasoline, even in the war years. There was less kerosene and distillate, and more gasoline used than most people who weren't around then think.

You can still use the kerosene manifold on the gas tractor. You should try posting your H questions on the Farmall board.
