I changed oil on my farmall H yesterday for the first time since purchase. The drain plug on the oil filter is stuck pretty good. Any advice on freeing it up other than penetrating oil. Been spraying it for a week even before attempting to move it.

I never take that plug loose. Just allow 15-20 minutes for the filter to drain and then remove the cover.

it should be a pipe plug in the pan. the threads are pipe thread. you can use a big cresent wrench to get a hold of the plug, or, im pretty sure it is a 1/2 inch square head. use a 1/2 inch socket extension, slip the end that goes on the rachet side on the plug and use a big pipe wrench on the extension to loosen it. try not to round off the plug. if you do, a pipe wrench is about the only way i found to get it out, then you need to buy a new plug,.

opps, didnt read the post correct, i thought you were referring to the oil pan drain plug. like kirk said, you dont need to remove it.pretty sure thats either a 1/8 inch pipe plug, maybe a 1/4.
