I have had the Farmall SuperMTA I grew up with being restored for the past two years. I finally got it and immediately the transmission locked up. The gear shift appears to move between 4th and 5th, but it really seems stuck in 2nd. The gear shift will not move to the left, and remains between 4th and 5th, and I can't even get it to go into neutral. I am really bummed after waiting so long for it. Any suggestions?

1 of the rails is wore where the shift lever goes in take it out & weld the edge up you will be able to see it, I wild them with SS.

The shifter is worn and the trans is stuck in 2 gears. Pull the shifter out and you can use a pry-bar and get it in nuetral. You have to drive the cross-pin out and lift the shifter out.Good luck.
