Need help on replacing thermostat in a Model M

New at this. Need some advice on how to install a thermostat in my '48 Model M. Locating and replacing how-to. Or, where to go for documentation on how to do this. Is it in the operator's manual, service manual, or other?

Shoe, if You are talking Farmall M, the housing for the thermostat is connected to the top radiator hose and is mounted on the front of the head. It may be an easy or a really difficult job to replace the thermostat-just depends on whether the bolts come out easily. You may need to loosen the nuts at the bottom of the radiator so it will tilt forward and give a little working space to remove hoses. Some repairs are necessary, and some minor repairs can lead to major headaches if You mess it up. Good Luck-John
