I put on a woods lb59 mowerdeck on a 1974 IH 154 Lo-boy I made sure the deck was installed right have the blades tilted foward 1/4 in with length of the tractor. Belts are nic and tight Put it in 1st gear gave it all the throttle engadged the pto and the c-60 engine allmost stalled the caught up it was like I lost all the power if I went uphill alittle bit it would almost bog out. Ithought maybe it was the pto I checked to make sure it had the right spacing .50.I thought maybe it was the timing and that was right on the engine purrrrs nice could someone please Help me??? My guess is that massive 13? hp engine is just about doing all it can...

My 66' IH cub and 44" belly mower needs lotsa rpm and a bit of clutch slipping so it won't stall out.. and she runs pretty good.. fairly good comp too for her age.

My guess is yours is a bit worn .. and it's got a big load.

If yours has an ORC built in the deck, you can put her in neutral, spin the mower up, then shift into gear and get going without having to spin that mower up from a stop again.. and roll those tires..
