1957 IH 350 Utility Tractor sat all winter. There appears to be water mixed in with the entire hydraulic system, most likely from condensation. Aside from draining the resevoir, what is the best way to get the rest of the contaminated fluid from the system. Is there one sweet spot that will drain the entire system. As it is, the hydraulic pump( which has about 20 hours on it) will not move fluid through the system although it is working ( I assume it wont move fluid because of the water in the system). Any help would be appreciated before I go through the process of trying to drain, then dilute with fresh hydraulic fluid, then drain, then dilute and so on as that gets expensive. I do not want to destroy the new pump so your suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Bill

i just got done with a 301a john deere that had the same problem. the pump on this one was howling to beat the band. i drained the system, then flushed it out with kerosene, then blew out all the lines with compressed air. let it drip for a few days till everything came out. had the pump rebuilt. system works good now. will run the tractor for a couple months then drain and refill the system, and change the filters.
