Farm and Fleet has two different cans of paint for IH, that is made by Valspar. One is a fancy can that says Restoration Series, for $6.99. The other is a different paint code number on the the bottom of the label and sells for $3.99. Anyone know what the difference will be between the two?
I am refinishing two clamshell fenders and do not what to buy a gallon of paint to do the job.

In eastern Washington I buy Van Syckle spray cans for tractor paint. It is the best spay can paint I have ever used. I have only seen it at Big R farm stores.

I've seen both used, and the "Restoration Series" is an almost exact match to the Case/IH 2150. The cheaper TSC paint is a different shade. The cheaper one will fade fairly quickly, don't know about the Resto. Series. The C/IH 2150 holds up well and probably won't cost much more than the Resto. Series.

I am taking a night class for auto body repair. I needed a smaller project to work on while waiting for my turn at some of the equipment. My main project is my truck. I think I will try to use the PPG 71310 for the fenders and hope that the tractor looks ok with the different types of paint. It goes to a hayride each year. Otherwise it is just a hobby project for me.

What year? IH changed paint codes in 1936, 1949, 1958, and 1961. It is likely that farm and fleet will match none of those. Case IH sells 2150 in rattle cans, which is the 1961 version -- even that is not the original 2150.
