i have a wd45 allis i am fixing for my grandpa it pops out of 3rd gear and you cant hold it in when in motion also i puller cover off al gears and bearings look good i am lost is this a common problem with allis chalmers what do i need to do to repair it

WE have had this problem with our Allis WD. Turned out to be a weak shifting fork.

In the D series it is called the allis disease. It is an expensive fix must split the tractor and replace the gear. Don't know on the wd45 but would think it is similar.
