Hi, I have a 47 Farmall H, and I'm having a bit of trouble. I know I'm having a fuel problem, so I'm fixing that. What I need to know is approx fuel ratio. I started messing with it and can't get it running again. I don't know what the second screw is for.(the one I just had to mess with) It's up higher on the carb then the regular fuel mix. If anyone could tell me what would be good to start with, and what the second screw is for, and approx mix that would be great.

the main load adjustment screw is the lower one. usually set about 3 1/2 turns out. the upperis the idle mix adjustment, i think about 1-1/2 turns out on that one, there is a 3rd screw to set the idle speed, that one is near the governor shaft that goes in the side of the carb. if i remember to adjust, you warm up the tractor, open the throttle wide and set the main adjustment, start turning the screw in till it starts running rough, then back out 1/2 turn. next idle down, set the idle mix screw till the tractor runs the best, the set idle speed screw.

Thanks for the help. That was the reference I was looking for, and it really helped. Turns out when the tractor hit mid rpm it was vibrating a wire loose for the coil.
