Be sure to fish around with a magnet after you get it out to pick metal pieces in cylinder. The heat or cutting slots in it should let it come out. Good luck.

If you have a tourch then just heat the broken plug base up cherry red and let it cool and screw it out no need to remove the head.

Take a Dremel tool with a carbide bit and gently cut 2-3 slots in the threaded portion left in the head. Now take a small chisel and collapse the thread into the hole. Get 1 piece started and you can turn the rest out.
Next time use Anti-sieze on the threads, right?

You are going need to get some heat on those plugs to get them out. Judicious application of an acetylene torch will do wonders.

I would seriously consider pulling the head at this point. That will allow you to get to the other side of the broken plugs and clean up any exposed threads. You can also partially thread the insides of the broken plugs with a tap, then screw a bolt into the plugs and put some real torque on them. Add a little heat and they should come right out.

Just curious but are they Champion plugs? I heard they break and was wondering if other brands do the same.

Champion plugs are made in Mexico now.Dont use them....The us made plugs never did this. This is a common problem with champion plugs.Had one break in an olds v8.Piece came out with a ezyout no problem.Old cracks made me think the shell cracked on installation.

I had it happen in my ford truck one day. The plug rusted in half. If you have already put the penetrating oil the easy out should work. I used one. It takes a pretty big one. I think I had to drive it in there with a socket extension and a hammer. Once I got it seated very well I just used a lot of steady pressure and it turned right out to my relief. You may be able to even heat it with a torch if you have to. If you get it red hot it should spin right out. Careful, don't catch it on fire. Good luck.
