When you turn position screw to pos #2 it should operate both aux Valve "log Spliter" & Lift I use mine to change height of beam to ground . You have yours hooked up the same as mine but I have a manufactured log spliter came with valve on it , Valve has Bypass valve built in is set at 1800 lbs less than tractor to protect log spliter from dammage . You have A valve or Cylinder problem , or just might need to blead lines . I have been using 3 Years & love it sure beats a Mall can't take the beating on my joints any more I guess i am getting OLD .

I have same hookup on my 1715 use top hole and front bottom hole on spliter block don't remember witch is power and witch is return . When you use log spliter turn counter clockwise & be sure to turn back after unhooking spliter . When in counter clockwise both log spliter & lift will work . if it is like mine . If you check your manuel will tell how to hook up .

Ok, then one of those ports has to be pressure and the other the return. Make sure the pressure port is connected to the splitter valve inlet and the return to the splitter valve outlet. The BYD port on the splitter valve should just be a cap, nothing else. Fluid should be flowing thru that splitter valve ( from inlet to outlet) when the lever is not activated.

What model Prince valve is that?

The prince valve is a Model LS-3000, on my new holland 1720 the hydraulic manifold block has 3 ports, inlet, outlet, return, currently using the inlet and outlet, it says on my manual to connect the feed hose to the outlet port and the return to the inlet(that is for auxiliary equipment use), thier is another section in the manual for using remote control valves, single/double spool though i dont know if that applies for what iam doing.

Are those accessory ports (the second picture) the connections for a lever operated rear remote?

The 2nd picture is a port under the tractor step on side that when turn the screw on the accessrory port( as shown in 2nd picture) shuts off the rear lift lever operation and makes this accessory port active, thus the rear lift does not work, if I use the lift control lever or the PTO engage lever perhpas that would have an effect on this port???< it will extend out the cylinder just not return unless i switch the ports but then will not go back out ???
