Hello, found this site while looking for parts for my 8N. Anyway, I replaced a missing amp meter on my 1952 8N. The original one and its wires were gone when I got the tractor. Gauge is in, but where do I connect wires to to make the gauge work correctly? Please e mail me directly, I don't know if I'll find this site again!
Thank you in advance!

The input supply side of the ammeter generally has only one wire and thats to the hot ungrounded battery post, often via where the big battery cable attaces to a starter/switch. The other Load output terminal is what wires to the genny or the Voltage Regulators BAT output terminal plusssss ss the same terminal feeds hot voltage to loads like lights and ignition often via a wire to the switches BAT input terminals.

If its wired correct it should swing over to - discharge if you turn on lights or ignition NOT running but then swing over to + charge running if all works IF IT DOES JUST BASS ACKWARDS SIMPLY REVERSE THE LEADS
