I was going to put rotella 15/40 in it but my dad said he had some 30wt we should use up first before switching to the rotella. So after I put the valvoline in it he said oh that is what I had for the lawn mower not the tractor. Seems like the valvoline will be OK during the summer won't it?

Shoot in the summer I use 40W or 50W depending on the tractor. I use valvoline raceing oil in every engine I have and have never had any trouble because of oil

Valvoline 30wt. is what I use in all of my old tractors. It will be just fine. Actually the oil I use is N.A.P.A. brand, but it is Valvoline, just in a different bottle, and it is less costly.

do u know what weight hydraulic fluid for I 184 international harvaster. Just got it. Never had a tractor before. Have lots of questions.

Use Case-IH Hytran, or a hydraulic oil that meets Hytran specs. They are all the same "weight".
