I bought a old small grain mill last year and want to restore it for show as well as use. Does anyone know of books or DVD's that show how to restore these unit. and how to operate then like what speed to run them at etc.

Do you mean a belt driven burr mill or hammermill used for grinding grain for animal feed? Throttle setting for the belt drive would be the same as for pto drive. Example- on a WC Allis, one or two notches under wide open.

it is flatbelt driven has i guess a bushel hopper we dumped corn in it and ground it for the birds this winter.
