farmall m-450 head combustion chamber sizes

what is the size of the combution chamber on a 450 head with casting number 362174 r1 or what head besides a lp head would give a smaller combustion chamber any help would be appreciated

A 450 gas head ! There not that badly priced .

Mine has about .100 cut off it and it has 80cc combustion chambers.

Makes real nice power on the dyno as compared to the standard 8060 head that came on the Super M . It has 150 psi per cylinder and that was with stock pistons.

With the new pistons it has 220 psi per hole.

It is a 450 gas head. A head not milled and with head gasket will yield around 180cc.

James not trying to argue but to get a 450 gas head down to 80cc is almost impossible unless you filled in the combustion chamber. I have cc"ed LP heads that were milled to the max and they were just above 100cc.

Your right i guess i have just forgotten what it was. It was over 100 , we cced it to deturmin how much was cut off the head. I ended up putting .065 shims under the rocker shaft pedestals so that lash adjustment was in the middle of the adjustment range.

Now you got me thinking and we just put this motor together, can't wait to get it on the dyno.

This head has even been flow benched to get the max out of it.
