I'm building my first stroker engine in an H farmall and would like to know how much I can countersink the rod bolt for added clearance? Thanks.

Under 5.5 you may not have to sink em much,,, 5.5 is the real breaking point to start sinking em deeper. I had to go .285 on a 5.75 stroker,,, but really,, I only have to do 1,, and its the lower bolt that hits the sides,,, always,,,, I do remove the bend tabs, and use locktite on the rod bolts with an extra 5 on the torque. If the loctite is done right,, holds super! This info is only if your using stock rods,,, Hope this helps. Chad [email protected]

Using bolts with hex heads or cap screw heads?

They are 12 point bolt heads that are a reduced diameter
