Anyone got any advice using a small shot of NOS in a tractor? Just want 20-30hp boost. Is that possible? If so, how? BTW, this is for a 88 Oliver.

If the red guys are going to use a D466 in a 460, 560 I am going to try and keep up.

Do you really want to find their bottle???? LOOK AT THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER. I have pulled for about 40 years and that is where they used to hid it.....JB

sold some NO2 to a guy for his 88 Ollie. It held the head gasket up to a 100hp shot. Cheap and easy power!!!!
Also, Nitros oxside systems had an Awsome tech service to help you with it.

yrs ago in our club some guys started to notice how a certain JD G new style would get to the end of the track & run out of power, just about stall & then it would pickup some rpm & go another 20"
well they didn't find the bottle but got him on his non-stock flywheel.

The Farmalls with the 466 engines in them are supposed to be pulling in the Modified classes with the other nonstock block tractors. This is one of my main pet peeves. The assns. seem not to have enough guts to put them where they belong. No associations that I know will allow pressurized fuel . If you are looking for 20-30 HP against a 466 in the class you both should be in that much hp in an otherwise stock 88 won't even be noticed. Neither one of you will have a lot to do with multi engined V8 powered dragster type tractors in the class that you belong in. Take out a massive loan and build a Div 5-6 tractor and get out of the lower classes. If you want to go fast do it legally, what fun is it to beat up on lower division tractors especially if you have to resort to HIDING the bottle so you don't have to load up and go home!!!!! !! Your post title said it all as far as I'm concerned, sorry but you tripped my trigger!! mEl

I don"t know where you pull but I hope I don"t have to pay to see it. My biggest complaint while spectating is watching three tractors go down the track in the same class. 1. "Stock"
2. Div.3 3. Cheaters with tractors that are not even farm like tractors.
I watch about twenty antique pulls a year and drive close to 150 for my furthest pull. They have 7 pulls 3.5 miles from my house and I will never go back due to the above scenario. Why does"nt some someone make a class where you can pull say a supper mod against your 88. Would that be fair? I say make rules and stick to them. Yes I don"t mind seeing handiwork such as yours but run them against like tractors please. I have seen a 2155 Ollie from SE Ohio shoot black smoke 50 strait in the air and liked to watch it run but not in the 6500 stock class. I knew the owner and the tractor. He hid the tank very well because I could never find it. He activated it by jerking the throttle past stop at about 100ft and it would last long enough to get the job done. He would pull it from 6500 up to 9500. Never in a weight class that would put any torque against anything.

I agree when you have that big of an oliver with a v-8 cat and a home made frame running in the stock or natural class it just sucks. You cant make any like size tractor compete and its not fun for anyone.
