M 4.125 pistons

I am building an M engine have the block at machine shop plan is to make the bore 4.125 was going to order akit for a 450 but have read on the forum that my 8060 head will require grinding, my question is, is there another piston that will work without grinding the head I have a set of firecraters out of a SMTA but the pin bore is 1.312 my rods are 1.000 any help or thoughts appreciated

8060/M-SM dome location and a 450 dome location are not in the same places. Super M 4.125 bore with the large pin work with the 8060 heads. If you have the small pin rods out of a 281,nothing can be done, you need M-early 400 rods with the large diameter wrist pin bushing. if you have the large OD bushing rods, and the pin bushings are smaller, you can swap out the small bushings to the bigger set. Or upgrade to the 450 head and get the 450 kit. The SMTA pistons might have a better dome on em,,, and should fit in the 8060 head. Hope this helps. ChadS
