Id love to wittness how ethanol is made. Not by the ethanol plants, but by a old fashioned moonshiner!! LOL! Too many Dukes Of Hazzard episodes get me curious,, right???!!! What gets me, is that this has been around for generations,,, and we are now getting around to giving it an honest try,,,, why not 15 years ago?? Shoot, why not 8 years ago??
I do feel however that if a farmer was allowed a farm fuel permit,, and allowed to make a certain amount of ethanol for fuel,,, do that for a few years, and soon, open up a MOM N POP gas stations open back up and be able to operate independantly, and possibly make it in the financial world we so take advantage of everyday. Shoot, I can see a dariy farm making ethanol, selling ethanol fuel at the farms for all the local farmers to use,, and the used mesh,, Ive heard can be fed back to the cattle. I dont know how that would work,, but we can dream right???? Maybe maybe not,,, anyways,,, Chad

Not sure about the ethanol yet , but I can tell you for sure that the high grain prices are making it very hard to put grain through any livestock. I would expect high meat prices in the stores very soon!!! Glenn

Obviously, if you're just now to the point of "expecting" high meat prices, you obviously haven't been shopping in the past year or so.

I think E85 should be sold as a farm fuel only,,,, the tractors we burn the ethanol in are the same tractors we used to plant the corn used to make it. So the farmers should hold the cards. JMHO,,,
Used it for years! still do.

Now there is a man who doesn't understand the theory of supply and demand.

i work for a gas hauling company, and we have several dedicated loads of ethanol from train stations to terminals to blend gas, so i have been taking lots of notes, did you know it takes 1 gal. of petroleum based fuel to distill 1 gallon of ethanol? i looked up some articles, did you read? i want to thank you for lots of the info you have shared that some i agree with and others i don't, but you always speak your mind and try to help. thanks.
