what would be the better tire size to put on a stock farmall m to pull it in the 5000,5500,6000 lbs classes. I have 12.4/ 13.6/ and 15.5 tires.

Best tire I have found are 14.9 X 38 Armstrongs. The set that I have been running for about 8 years are road cut. A 14.9 compared to a 15.5 has more surface area on the track. Also if you are pulling on a hard track the 14.9 will get a better grip by getting into the dirt rather than a 15.5 that might stay on top. With my tire set up I pull 5500, 6000, 6500 and sometimes 7000. I hardly never touch the air pressure in the tires. I normaly have 12 lbs. in them. Only time if track is wet with alot of bite. Then I might have 14 lbs. in them. Just my thoughts. Good luck.

13.6 Is what i have on my 1939 M with 41 Hp and it dose well! Just stay in those classes and don't go higher or you will be low on Power in 1st gear!

GET FIRESTONE DEEP TREAD 15.5 THAT ARE WORE ALMOST OUT. I PUT NEW 15.5 ON MY STOCK FARMALL M TURNED RPMS UP 10% AND PULLED UP TO 7000LB AT 186 FT PULLING A 16000LB SLED. I ORIGINALLY HAD NEW 13.6 AND GAINED 50FT GOING TO A 15.5 TIRE. THE NEW TIRE WILL TRY TO DIG DOWN IN THE TRACK WHERE OLD TIRES WILL STAY ON TOP AND PULL BETTER.
