I have been asked about running top cut tires in stock class by no less than 50 people in person, by phone and through the internet. I have been trying to weigh the + and - of changing the rule and allowing top cut tires.This being Primary Day in SC I have decided to leave it to the people. Anyone that is going to support our track throughout the season and signs up for running for the track championship will be given a vote for each stock class in which they are signed up for. If top cut tires have the most votes, then I will change the rule. If stock wins out, the rule will remain the same. The results will be posted on the web site after the 1st pull. Dangerous, do you want to be the guy sending people to the next class because their "road worn" tires are much sharper than someone elses? And the guy who took the grinder to them, then hit them with a rosebud and wiped smooth? You can't prove it, but you know something is modified about that tire. I'm for eliminating top cuts as well. Just make any cut legal in all classes.

Hey Michael. Missed parking next to you this year! I really understand your issue! At what point is a tire cut? Is a spun backward tire to be considered cut? How about one from a Combine or Cotton picker? Folks will swear they are not cut but the result is the same. A laid back tread is a laid back tread... Making the call can cost you both a lot of stress and a few less pullers/friends, is it worth that? I hope to come pull a couple of times if my little Allis can move your sled.

AO Your Allis will be able to pull our sled. We have moved it with a TO-30 and a bone stock WD-45 with stock tires.

were we pull they top cut with stock tires we were always at the top 3 alot of 1 ewry body stared to cut tires and we were at the botom so we cut the tires back to the top we went so its all alot of work for nothing don"t be stupid and ruin tires for nothig keep stock stock by the way out of 50 or so tractors 4 people rased there hand wen asked if tractors was stock leave cheating to modifed classes please bill klump

I feel top cut tires are for the non stock class's. they are not stock or you can't get them as a option. it would be like stroking a crank and running it in the stock class cause it looks stock. JUST MY 2 CENT. voting would be cool and would support the results. I am a full supporter of the pull and will be pulling with several tractors in the point. LH

I see the whining has already started, you cant or never could purchase a tractor with "cut "Tires, TOP CUT or any CUT is not STOCK!!!!

Great looking tire, but all they showed were two sizes: 24.5-32 & 30.5L-32. Are there any other sizes?

A top cut tire is a tire that has had the top of the cleat cut to make a flatter and sharper edge to bite the ground better. without touching the front edge of the cleat.
