I have an allison 5 speed out of a 1979 international dump truck that was with a DT 466. I was wondering how hard that would be to put that in my 1993 Dodge 250 12 valve cummins. Are there adapter plates out there that match the 5.9 cummins to the allison? Is there enough room? What do I have to do to the driveshaft? Anything have to be done to the flywheel?

There is a junkyard in Kalamazoo MI that sells transmissions out of school bussess with 5.9 cummins. The only problem with them is they dont have a parking awl they used a brake on the hydraulic or air system.
