It took almost 11 hours but we had over 220 hooks on the sled yesterday (didn't Mankhe run back to yankeeville with a pocket full of southern $$$$$$$. I want to say thanks to every one who came to pull there was alot of new faces and I didn't get to meet many yesterday for it was a busy day. Hats off to Lindley and Judy Clark for I don't know how they held up but they made it happen. I want to give a extra pat on the back to a puller who didn't have to volunteer to help Jeff Simmons made this pull get in gear with finding pullers and getting them in to the line up order most of the day. After that said I want to add the only person I'm usally proud of getting a first place is myself but i can't say that now Jeff won King Of Hill and I was as happy as he was.

Now on not to good of a note I was disapointed in a few members of the Mid south Flywheelers with the overwhelming job of putting yesterdays pull on I would have thought all members present would have pitched in but that was not true you know who you are you sit under your tent and had a wonderful day with family and friends and pulled when your turn came up while a hand full of club members and afew other pullers pitched in and got the event done. THIS WAS A MIDSOUTH FLYWHEELERS EVENT IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILTY TO HELP MAKE IT HAPPEN IF YOU WANT TO JUST PULL DON'T ACT LIKE OR EVEN JOIN THE ORGANIZATION AND THEN THE FEW WHO DO WORK WILL GET TIRED AND THERE WANT BE A PULL *****THINK ABOUT IT******

Now on a better note the 10000 lb modified was as Good as always with Medley and Broome in a pull off Medley took the win.

Terry treadway does a whole lot better when he doesn't bring the other half of the 2 way pulling team terry won 6500, 7500, and 8500 modified.

Now to toot my horn I won 6500 ss (and beat that girl NINA)
Gertrude also won 7500 ss with Ryan driving.

Last but not least some pullers can't get a kitchen pass from their wife that don't have expiration time on them I want mention the name but the expiration time was 6pm so he didn't get to make but one pull and didn't fair to good at it he also has a home cooking cafe in Olive Branch with his name on it.

I sure was glad to see the SWEEPER back I hope the new bed sleeps good.

Let me add my thanks to all the pullers who came to the Sorghum Festival Pull. We had our problems
(help not showing up and the track roller breaking down) but overall we had a great day for pulling and a great pull. My apologies to the pullers for the confusion with the lining up during the first classes but poor ole me can only be in one place at a time but, with Jeff's help and the help of some of the MSFW members we got things going. My thanks as always to the Real Confederate for suffering through the day with us and managing to not go off the deep end too far.

It is nice to be able to go to a pull and enjoy visiting with friends and having a good time but when you see the pull promoters having a bad time why not volunteer to help them out? We always have members of other clubs pitch in to help and we sure do appreciate it. We all should keep that in mind when attending other club's pulls.

Some things to think about when attending a pull:
Many people pull several times a month yet when they get to a pull they seem to forget everything they know about pulling. They don't know what classes they want to pull and then change their minds several times a day and want to change classes because someone is in a class that might whup up on them or vice versa, this kind of monkey motion drives the promoters nuts and makes everything more difficult. When I go to a pull I know exactly what classes I intend to pull and I never have to change, what is the problem with you other people? Then there are the people who come to the pull early but wait until the pull has started to come up and register. They don't come to the drivers meeting and then ask a bunch of questions that they should already know the answer to. Then they want to see all the class sheets so they can cherry pick the classes they want to run because they think they can win, this causes lots of confusion also.

The most disgusting thing was the ignorant lout who waited until no men were present in the registration area and then came up and called my wife a "F----- B---- with an attitude" because he wanted instant service when she was trying to help some other pullers a short time before. I don't know who you are but you are not welcome at any of our pulls again. If you can't conduct yourself like a Gentleman then you should stay home!

We understand what went wrong and we will do our best to correct our shortcomings in the future. Thanks again to all who came and especially to all that helped us out.

Hats off to you folks, even Sonny ha ha.200 plus hooks in a day is pushing them through. It is very stressful and tiresome before, during and after a pull. Some that have not worked a pull need to and see just what its like, thier attitude would likly change.Mix-ups happen no matter how much planning happens.Majority are understanding but there are some that just don't know what they actually look like when they are showing thier @$$ and some don't care either.Wished we could have attended/participated.

This seems to be the way it is at most of the pulls. I mean that a few hard working people do most of the work while others are sitting under them tents. I believe this why most numbers are down at most pulls. Same old people get burned out of doing most of the work.

I talked to him, sent him a front tire tube to sit on. He needs to retire that green trap that has crap spinning around everywhere you look and get a safer tractor! I don't care what color it is!..... .(red would be best)

Maybe a cub cadet or some other low-to-the ground tractor. I know Tutt has some of them battery-operated tractors that would be hard for him to fall off.
