We have 5 clubs within an hours drive of each other (New Castle PA), and they keep scheduling events on top of each other, resulting in everyone having a reduced numbers of hooks. Seems to be a lot of complaining about who is screwing who. If we don"t wake up soon all of the clubs are going to die. I don"t have a solution, becuase it takes communication, and they aren"t willing to do that.

Pat, your state is hardly a state :) I mean that in the nicest way possible. All our clubs are spread out about as far as CT from each other. Two hours north, one your south, one hour west for me. Nothings ever close...

I pull at Portersville 1st, it's the best track money can buy, 2 good sleds and a few good people who bust butt to make it all work. Portersville is usualy the first to make thier schedule and has tried to use the same weekends for years, I know that some of the other clubs have intentinaly went on the same weekends as them. I just go where the best track is and I can have the most fun, but I have freinds at all of them. Just my 2 cents.

Hard to schedule pulls around portersville when they schedule pulls almost every weekend. would say they have good track, but would not call it the best.

I agree there are alot of clubs, but none have as good a track as portersville IMO. And the sled can handle the bigger tractors well. I guess one must pull where they like all conditions best.

I agree - it will take communication and if nobody wants to get along enough to sit down for an hour and put together a schedule that works for everyone you"re all up the creek.

Here in Central PA we have a similar situation - 6 clubs within 75 minutes from furthest pulling sites. A couple of years ago, one of the clubs initiated the idea of putting together a common pulling calendar that has all 6 clubs on it along with show dates, pull dates, and a few of the local fair pull dates that people would be interested in. It has worked great, and you don"t need to worry about loosing 6 different business card sized schedules - just post one on the wall and you"re good for the summer. I just counted, and out of 40 possible event dates, there are only 3 event conflicts. For the most part, since the common calendar has been put together all of the clubs stick with a certain weekend each month and we pretty well know when they"re all pulling all year. If a guy had the time, there are very few weekends after the last week of April that you wouldn"t have at least one pull to go to - usually 2. When gas was $0.97 that seemed more practical :)

Good luck!
