What are guys doing to the LA to get the power. I Know the Long 6in stroke helps but on tractordata it said it had a comp. ration of 4.09:1 that sound kind of low. Are you putting high comp. pistons and head on them, Maybey LP heads. Also is the LA a sleeved engine? Iv heard that guys will punch the block out to WAY over 403. Is this so? Is that what these guys do to get the big power. How are they doing it?

lp head, make templete for combustion chamber we ground the pistons in the block not the best way but it worked with a good cleaning. I think the pistons came out of the block almost an 1/8" but its been a while since we done it so im not sure of that measurement. it made about 80 horse cheap.
But they made a nice dome. As far as bore you could get 5 1/2" or more Ive got a set of 4 7/8+.060" pistons Im looking to sell.
