I've never been to Tunica. I would like to go this year. What is the track and sleds like? Are the sleds heavy to start? I pull lite classes. Any advice? What MPH is KOH? Thanks

The tracks are usually very good and tacky. Thursday was good last year, but Friday was awful. The track was wet thanks to some know-it-all that got out there and went to dumping water on it Thursday night. The track was like a marshmallow Friday. They worked on it almost all night Friday and got it back in great shape for Saturday. There were a lot of driver's surprised Saturday when their tractors powered out. Several tractors stalled out like a mouse on a sticky-trap. The sleds are easy to start and don't load up too awfully fast. If you go once, you'll be back.

My first time pulling there was last year on Friday and the track was kinda spongy that day but got better as the evening went on. Saturday was a killer track as I was one of the ones whose tractor powered out and I have never seen it do that before.

Sleds, well the green one is harder to start than the ones we pull up here. two of the ones we pull were there for backup last year and they seem to me to start easier. They are all good though. Hehehe what got me was I pulled 3 classes on Friday and hooked to a different sled each time LOL!!! Talk about not being able to figure your weight for the next class.. haha.

However it wasn't so bad that I am not going this year. Got a Bike Rally in Tunica this coming weekend and while there I am getting my hotel reservations for the pull. I go there knowing I don't have a good chance of winning but we sure have a good time and that's what we go for...:)

They can definatly make that track sticky...

What about the classes. Is it 500lb. increments. like 4000#, 4500# etc. What does it cost for hook fee, rooms etc. Thanks

go to www.greenpullers.com. the classes and schedule is there. As for the hotel rooms they will be posted sometime I am sure but it is always reasonable.
