I have a 77 that shucked the pinion on it this past week. It had a 3:43 rearend in it. It would run about 5 mph at 2100 and in 1st gear down the track. I'm looking at a 4:36 or a 5:33 rear end. Obviously I won't be able to run in 1st and get this same kind of speed but in 2nd I should be close. Anyone smarter than me able to figure out which one of these ratios will get me the closest to what I want? I'm guessing the 5:33 will be the one I need but I'd like for some input. Thanks.
