Check the gauge damper valve. If it is turned all the way in it shuts the gauge off. Make sure the pto shaft is on the right shaft for pto or engine direct. The gauge should read for 540, 735 and 1000 RPM.

What is wrong with the cooler you have? I took mine to a good radiator shop and had the small leaks it had fixed.

Would either of you happen to have the little HP slide calculator that M&W made for some of the dyno's. It would tell you the HP at a given RPM and Pressure reading. MY HP gauge is broken, and I don't want to spend the money for one if I can get the chart and a good PSI gauge.

Thanks
Joe

The cooler that I have was left with water in it and it froze. There are 80 inidividal copper tubes in the cooler and over 2/3rds of them are busted. I rigged up a cooler to check the rest of the "works perfect" dyno out and the whole thing is JUNK. The pump is shot. The only think on the whole blasted thing that works is the small tachometer. I am pretty sure that the seller was aware of the problems with this particular unit but sold it as "a real nice one." I sure would hate to see a junk one by the sellers definition.
I guess the old latin term of caveat emptor should have been used in my case.
