Worried about a friend

I saw this in the Commercial Appeal(Memphis, TN) newspaper today. I believe I know this guy and need advise to help him before he does something desperate. If anybody else knows who this is PLEASE help him!

Dear Abbay,

I am an antique tractor puller who is used to winning every time, lately a new person has shown up to pull with our group. I cannot believe it but he is whipping me every time we compete against each other.

I am used to winning when I pull; people use to call me all the time to ask for advice and want to know the secrets to a �full pull�. Now my phone hardly rings and when it does they ask me for the number of that �other� puller.

What should I do?
A. Sell my tractor and quit pulling?
B. Get a green, yellow, blue or orange tractor?
C. Do something to that �other� tractor?
D. Admit that time has past me by and keep pulling?

Thanks for any advice you can give me,

Well my personal advice to anyone who might happen to be in that situation is to not worry about people calling you for advice all the time and enjoy the peace and quite. It's also a good time to start thinking of new things to do to your own tractor that maybe no one has thought of yet. Hehe of course my personal way of dealing with a pull and getting beat is this. I'm there to have a good time period. Went to Tunica last year knowing I wasn't gonna have a decent chance of winning. Who cares! Winning is good and i like it but I enjoyed meeting people and talking with them more. Have a good time. As long as your tractor does all it can do and you know it then the rest doen't matter.

Besides I don't have the money to put into a puller to get real serious about any of it. But I sure met a great bunch of folks down in Tunica last year and am coming back to give my donation again this year.

Oh yea, if anyone on here happens to be at the Blue and White Saturday morning the 25th of august looks for a guy on a red bike with OldTymer on his vest. The Southern Cruisers are having their National rally down there and I am looking forward to another one of those famous breakfast's!!!!

I think I would put another handle in my Broom and get a new outlook at my Sweeping. If that didn't work, I might try to put a little white on that RED tractor. Just My Opnion
