How much advantage do roller rockers give you on a 460, 291 stock bore/stroke with a flowed head running 20% over on RPM?

My understanding that opening up a head is key for a 460, I just don"t know if the roller rockers will add anymore.

Also, what a bout a carb from a 7700 JD combine versus a 715 IH combine?

The intake might be smaller than the carb! I run 1-5/8 carb on a 263, head ported, combine ign, 715 carb, and 2700 rpm. The port work is worth it, exhaust is restricted. Intake ports are ok. Just trace the gasket pattern on the head, and manifold a few days with a die grinder on the exhaust side only will pick up alot of power. Get the ignition consistant and relaible. Most important. I run points witha 12 volt coil and a resistor, autolite plugs, solid 8mm wires, lighter advance springs, works great! Hope this helps, dont know bout the roller rockers, certainly, they wold give it some torque from friction relief, or different ratios on the exhaust. Chad
