Is anyone running an RD pump for pulling, or know of someone. I have one on my 806 and I am about at wits end because I can't seem to get enough fuel out of it to make more power. I am looking to have some conversation on the subject.

Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback. I have been through the Roosamaster thing with my 1206 big pump, big injectors and big turbo, runs real good. I also have a 806 with the same setup only with the RD pump. The big RD was used on early 817 IH engines and but I am getting maybe 200HP out of it.

If you're referring to IH Red Diamond engines, they were primarily gas [mighta coulda got a propane version way back when] and carbureted...so I don't think there IS such a thing as an injection pump for one, at least not as they came from the factory.

RD is the name of the injection pump used on early 806 IH D361 diesel engines. They were replaced by Roosa-masters.

I dont know anything about a "rd" pump Steve at st joe diesel helped us a lot with our system a rosamaster with a 450 head and booster pump big tips and lines. you may not need that mutch fuel if you dont have a turbo or the cubes. if it is a puller only you might as well build it big now so you will have it when you want to move up later. an in line would be better yet
