Are 450 motors and super M motors inerchangable.

A 450 block will bolt right in a SM if thats what your asking

no there is a lot more meat in the piston area in a 281 block , in other words you can bore a 281 bigger

The casting no isthe same.Only difference in the block is date code and ci casting marks.You can take every piece out of one block and put it in the other one .heads if original are different.You have to match the pistons to the sleeves if 4 inch.Be advised 450 pistons WILL hit an 8060 head.I have done it but it takes a lot of grinding on both.
