What do I need to put on spare parts like heads, crankshaft, pistons ,rods , blocks to keep them from rusting ? most of this is kept inside but I don't have room for everything...also what about parts tractors that are outside with good parts...here in the MS. things rust pretty quick in or outside....paint ,grease ,oil ,what ??thanks ..Kent

Kent, I have had very good luck with plow paint from most any farm supply store. You can use it as is and when it dries it will protect about any non-painted part. When you are ready to use the part simply wash off the plow paint and install. Plow paint will dry which makes it easier to move the parts around. Oily products will protect, too, but they are "ornery" to deal with in this application. Mike

Thanks for the reply..as a farmer I never heard of [ plow paint ]but I'm sure I can find some on the internet..in the MS. delta plows have never been used but in rare cases...its either chisel plow or disk...Kent
