Did anybody see the Hot Farm 1466 at Statesville on Sat? I understand the gentleman's name is Weaver, and that he's 72 or 74 years young. That's one mean pulling 1466, and it looks like a show tractor to boot. Looks like he's the man to beat in hot farm.

weaver that owns that tractor ain't that old must have been another driver,charlie is about 50 i would say that is a power house tractor, looks like he has a 100hp over the other1466 turbos.

Yes, we were there Sat! The ole guy on the 1466 name was Tim Weaver, (I think). After watching him approach the sled the pull was kind of WOW!!! I did think the track was a bit too sticky at first. Seemed to take all the HP our little tractor could put together. My first time at Tomlin Mills, I will be back!

The gentleman's name is Jim Weaver; James E. Weaver to be exact. Jim is from Staunton, VA. He is indeed well into his 70's. Jim has been pulling tractors for longer than most of us have been alive. He has pulled all over the country in the 'pro ranks' years ago, on everything from stock to full blown smokers, now he just pulls locally. Win or lose, Ole Jim will never complain, brag, make an excuse, get mad, belittle another man or his tractor. Yes Sir, Jim is a true GENTLEMAN in every respect.
BUT..... Did you ever hear the saying: old age and treachery will beat youth and enthusiasm every time. You think his hotfarm is bad, try pulling in the stock class against one of his IH M's; he can be beat, but it's a long roe to hoe. Those M's look every bit as good as the hotfarm- quiet too- runs with a muffler. Yep, ole Jim will put a "whoopin" on ya, but never brag about it.
