does anyone know what people are using the MH44 for a better carb. mine is to small and not getting enough air. I want to upgrade but not sure what to go with.

IH 806 or JD 4010/4020 (find the cast one)for a stocker. The one I like and use is a Zenith or Bendix Carb. (63AW11)1.500 vent. 0r the next model is 1.625 venture. About 100.00 to 150.00 new old stock. They used them on everything, so not to hard to find. Good carb. up to 400 c.u. or more.
Make sure to get one with a load screw.

thanks for the info. my motor is about 400 cube so hopefully it will help. What horsepower should a motor that size produce.

About 105 to 115hp. Spend the time and open up the head.
Also-try to find a LP or Diesel manifold (same thing).
