ok im painting my h this weekend making new whellie bars the day after my question is what would be the best mods to do to it within reason i have about 800 to spend on it mayby a litte more it also has weight on it good oil pressure it holds about 75 above idle

yea i havent pulled much only 2 times cuz im only 16 but i want to to better then i did but its 1 transfer slead and 1 stone boat pull

Thats good I started young too, experence is almost as important as the whats under the hood. What pulls do you do? I might be at them or have been at them in the past.

I would look into the head and get that cleaned up and possibly decked. If you dont have steped pistons in it I would but a set of them in it. Since the oil pressure is good the bearings and such are good and prob dont need serviceing. I would spend 200- 300 on the head and like 300- 400 on a piston kit on a piston kit if needed. Other smaller items like electric ignition, carb bored, govonor work etc.

Also what are you pulling dead pull or transfer sled?

Do you pull in CT? I have been pulling dead weight stone boats for a few years here in CT. I pull Farmalls H, Super H, Farmall A, Allis B.
