Does anyone use any kind of heavy steel plates as suitcase weights? If so, do you get any static from your clubs as far as not using actual "suitcase" style weights? I have access to 36 old hammers out of a Diamond Z horizontal grinder. They weigh about 90-92 lbs. each. I was going to cut slots in them to hang on my weight bars. They're not exactly agricultural, but they will work, and they're free.

I was at an auction a while back and a weight bench and weights come up for sale. They could not get a bid so I said 5.00.
On my Oliver I now have the ends of the weight bars and the weights. Easy to move, works good.
Use your imagination (PS - my cousin had to tell me how to do it after I had bought the set - just could not get it in my head until he drew me a picture)

Hi Preacher Man, Sure can, a close friend of mine made a bunch out of several scraper blades. Weight is weight when it comes to pulling. Good idea and good luck.

sure use them, not everyone has suitcase weights, just make sure there fastend on good, they disqualify you if one falls off. i have different weights off all brands of tractors and fasten them any way i can. suitcase weights are expensive. hope i helped you. i;ve pulled in ind, ohio and fla with no problems about weights.
