on the average 4 hooks per night + occasional pull offs. about 20 nights a year. thats in road gear for 3500 & 4000 if the track is loose, 5 th gear for 4500 & 5000.

had a 77 that was 4 1/8 by 5 3/4, took nine years of pulling before the crank broke. putting another one together right now. makes about 115 hp. only run 20% over on rpm"s , stock on the outside.

Easily,4.125 bore X 5.25 stroke.Plenty of room in the block for both.

you can possibly do it but you better have some other blocks laying around, like the other post says, it will be paper thin

Possible sure,but it won't be cheap. A guy here locally has an 88 dynoing 125.Stroked and bored. Bored so thin he had to fill the water jacket nearly to the top with filler to strengthen the cylinder walls.
