I apologize for the comment being aimed to you, I had to think by your post that you might just be one of those club cronnies who wont hear about what others think and felt I needed to defend my opinion, Have a good season out there.

I heard they ruled out the dyno, so the pto in div 2 cant be enforced anymore. div 2 is basically like div 3 just no cut tires and its 18" hitch.

I know that the dyno is no longer used, but there are losts of places that require a PTO to try and keep the out the "hotrods". I did not attend the rules meeting, but my understanding is that the dyno is out, a 3.5 MPH speed limit is in, and that a PTO is still required. If not then I need to pull mine out of the tractor. Does anyone know for certain what rules were adopted?

Well, dont yank it out just yet, but really if they dont have a use for a pto , then why have one, most pullers dont for one reason or another. I have seen hot tractors with and without, so that theory doesnt hold water with me. alot of tractors didnt even have pto from the factory, so by that , you had to pull at least class 3 or 4, that doesnt make sense.

The rules are similar to NATPA, except for Div 2 you have to have power takeoff installed.
Not sure about the weather, it isn"t looking very good.

You guys made this about as clear as mud, forget the PTO. just go with a 3 mph in Div. 2 , 90% of pullers don't have PTO's anymore.

That would have been better, but at portersville , they run some national and some not national rules, I see it as if your not going to run a standard set of rules (ie) national, the whole way around, it leaves alot of room for interpretation, and I really dont think with tons of money owed on the sled , they will be turning anyone away. div 2 will be a run what ya brung by what I see.

Hey Jd Hauler, Would you please quit crying about the the darn PTO thing. Either comply with the rules that are by that club or leave it at home! It not hard to figure that out. Your money spend other places.

I just knew someone would have to say that, well here is a super good example of how portersville works, a long time ago, I had a model D john deere and it did not come with a factory pto, I was told that I had to pull it in div 4 , they didnt have a div 3 at the time , nor it belong there either, believe me, the stock class would have been all it could have handled . I told the board that it was a 1941, it was half worn out and I just wanted to pull it to just get it out of the shed and have some fun with it, well the answer was to still pull it in div 4, so if this would have happened to you,how would you feel? It was never taken to the pull for that reason, to have a ~20hp tractor pull against the modded ones, boy that makes sense to me, I would have to assume that you are one of the "in" boys that pulls at the club, or you would probably agree that the pto rule is total bs and is useless, unless I missed that not having a pto gains excess hp.

Look buddy I don't pull at this poetersville place. I'm from CO and I pull places where there are PTO's and Where there are not. I'm far away from this so called "in" crowd. I would say you asume to much. I pull Div 3and I don't worry about that stupid game. Sometimes you got to let the past go. The Cheater
