On the 263 you could make it a 291 and futher to the 301.

I asked this question on the International forum the other day and never did get a for sure answer. I have a 560 Farmall 263 gas.I want to rebuild the engine the for a stock puller. Step head and fire crater pistons are available for this engine. it currently has step head, will the pistons interchange and which is the best choice for what I am going to do ? Thanks for any input.

A good 263 can be a pretty stout motor. Get a typical 706 piston/sleeve kit, its the same as the 560. Port and polish the exhaust ports, 3 angle valve grind, and a 715 combine carb, good fuel, good ign, over 100 hp at 706-806 engine rpms. Not bad at all for a 263 if your allowed to run the faster rpms. Compression height is 2.02 on all IH 6cyl pistons except the 460's 221ci motor. the 460 is close to .300 taller than the others due to the shorter stroke. Chad
