im building a oliver 77 for pulling i put a 770 motor in it for the house power with 3 3/4 high comp. pistons im useing 770 cam and head with lots of work looking for more idears on what to use.

need. the big 770 intake and a 1650 gov. does anyone have on????? ?

you should read the rules before you start saying what you have in your tractor your illegal in the antique pullsAll parts of the tractor must be stock and from corresponding model
and year prior to 1956 and within manufacturers repair tolerances. No
frame modifications will be allowed, such as the altering of wheelbase,
etc. Replacement parts from alternate manufacturers are acceptable.
All tractors are to have a working muffler. Tractor owner is responsible
to supply documentation from manufacturer.

if i pull the 77 it going to be in the hot stock class with connecticut state so it wont be cheating. my super 88 i pulled is all stock unlike uther peoples tractors in that club. i like block pulling better so u wont see me there to much this year seeing how you know me so well who are you????

no. i dont pull with connecticut state that much i pulled 2 times last year. so its no big deal to me like i said i like block pulling more.

thats where those rules came from antique tractor.org they are the group that does the block pulls they do most of the fairs

A true 770 intake is the same runner size as a 1550. Also, A MS tsx 755 is almost identical to the MS tsx 903 on a 1550. What is a 1650 governor going to do? Does it fit and why??? What RPM"s and class rules do you have?

we have a rpm rule 10% over stock theres more lugging power with a 1650 gov

These are just MY thoughts, so take them as such....On one of my 770's I took .030 off the head and gave it a good port job. Kept the valves the same size, just because it only runs about 2100 rpm. It gave me a 7 horse increase on the dyno. 3-3/4 domes, which power seal doesn't make any more, were always good for 10% more horse. Dist. springs always seemed to help. 1650 gov??? I guess I just don't understand that one. Good luck pulling your Ollie, let us know how you do!

1650 gov. has more lugging power then stock 770 and little more rpm i put one in my super 88 and it works well

I went around with another puller last fall, a 77 and a 1550 use the same cam, what all do you call lots of head work>

Use 1550 manifolds and carb. and cam. Keep your eye on ebay. every now and them ypou may get lucky.
