I am looking for hand held tach that clips onto a plugwire. Does anyone know where I can get one? Thanks rudy

thanks for the info. I have seen the lazer ones but I don't want to open my sidepanals for someone else to check my rpm's.

Check out the ones on Ebay. Try a search for Digital Photo Tach. They are the hand held portable unit that uses a laser beam to reach the reflective tape you would put on your front crank pulley or driveshaft. These are a good investment to keep your tractor at maximum RPM's allowed. Most are priced around the $30.00 range plus shipping.

I bought one from the Snap On dealer about 15 years ago. Not cheap of course.

Did you get one of those that you put reflective tape on the font pully? I used one of them and they work realy good, It was fun cause you cna put those on PTO's belt pullys, etc.
