Did you ever get your tach hooked up? If so is it working? I believe it was a VDO. Just wondering if you have the model number of it. Email is open.

I got the tach, and I've been playing with it. The model number is 337-012. It doesn't match any I've seen on the web, but it has two terminals and an adjustment knob. I hooked the G terminal up to 12v+, and the - terminal to the coil - terminal. I adjusted the little screw on the back until it came in close at idle, and it seemed to read accurately. This weekend I'm going to hook it up to a 4-cyl. truck with a factory tach, and try to calibrate it. If it works out, I'll install it on my tractor. The tach is a marine unit, so the face is already sealed. I made a fiberglass cup at work to seal up the back, and give me a nice mount, since the tach is a panel-mount. All in all, I'm not impressed, and I should've probably just bought a denny's tach. But, we'll see.
