If I put a flat head on my styled G will the compression be to high for my stock starter? The crank is stock also.

You Should be fine, with a good strong battery, starter and the pet cocks open. I have also have run this setup for years with high compression pistons, should start without a problem with pet cocks open.

no i had one on a 52 G for years before i knew what a flat head was didn"t have really any trouble untill i rebuilt the motor with high comprestion pistons, and started blowing head gaskets because off spark knock.

Probably not without being a stroker but your starter needs to be in top notch shape.New cables,ends and a 1000cca battery should start it ok with the petcocks open.Shine up all the surface behind the starter flange where she bolts to the tractor.
