Is a heiser head and/or manifold legal in Div 2 natpa? the rule reads something like "part must in parts book or replacement parts book." I"m sure heisler had a parts book right?

Not to rain on your parade Tired A- BUT I think Drew is probably right. Out of anybody I'd like to see ya have that head on there BUT might make for a long drive back if you cant pull her when ya get here there!!! Especially with the company you'll be riding with. I'd say get the rest of the tractor ready for the pull and save the head for this summer.

You arent supposed to run a power block, and I would put a Heisler head in the same category as a power block.

On the other hand, you really have to know what you are looking for to know a Heisler from a JD head. You could probably run it and no one would ever know the difference.

a knowlegeable JD person can spot one a mile away, check the rules first.

I have went through alot of junk yards with an accomplished G puller from SD with the initials of M.S., he points out Heislers on the tractor and has showed me the difference. he does not tear down tractors to find them, he knows by looking!

A mile get real, Rich would not know one if it were off of the tractor! O.K. a MILE, LETS put you at 10 feet, head on tractors 10 tractors, could you get it right 9 of 10 times?
If your good enough to tell at a mile tell us what to look for at 5 feet, Drew is right on that one, about not easy to spot.
Gary Baker would know better than Rich and he is a Farmall guy

...no ones going too pay much attention to what head is on any given tractor until it places in the money. Then they'll all be checking it out real close, not from a mile away or ten feet away but from ten inches away.
